Question 1

What is your service area?

Accepted Answer

Our primary markets are The Hamptons, Montauk, New York City, and Long Island. We also provide regional service to Connecticut and New Jersey. For destination events nationwide, please inquire directly for a custom travel proposal.

Question 2

Do you require power and water access?

Accepted Answer

For our standard service, we require access to one standard 110V outlet within 50 feet of the setup area to power our cart's refrigeration and lighting. We are fully self-contained regarding water and do not require a water line hookup. (Note: If the event is in a remote field without power, please let us know so we can arrange silent battery generators.)

Question 3

Can you service both indoor and outdoor venues?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Our bespoke carts are designed to fit through standard double-doors and freight elevators. For outdoor events, the cart requires a flat, paved, or solid surface (no soft sand or deep grass) to ensure stability and service quality.

Question 4

How much space do you need?

Accepted Answer

To ensure smooth service and the full visual impact of the Luxe Lobster cart, we require a footprint of approximately 10' x 10'. This accommodates the cart, the back-of-house support table, and room for our chefs to operate comfortably.

Question 5

What time do you arrive for setup?

Accepted Answer

Our team arrives 90 minutes to 2 hours prior to the start of service. This allows us ample time to load in, polish the display, and prep the garnish station so we are ready to pour the first glass of champagne exactly when your guests arrive.

Question 6

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Luxe Lobster & Champagne Bar carries full General Liability and Liquor Liability insurance compliant with New York State regulations. If your venue or building management requires a COI (Certificate of Insurance), simply provide us with their requirements at least 72 hours prior to the event, and we will handle the paperwork.

Question 7

How much does luxury catering cost for weddings and events?

Accepted Answer

Our pricing is structured as a per-guest rate that varies by package: Classic Luxe starts at $155 per guest, Luxe Royale at $195 per guest, and Luxe After Dark at $250 per guest. All packages have a 25-guest minimum. A 22% Event Production Fee is added to all invoices, covering event planning, culinary preparation, logistics coordination, insurance, staffing administration, and operational overhead. This fee is not a gratuity and is not distributed to the service staff. Pricing includes travel within Nassau County; events in Suffolk County, the Hamptons, or NYC may incur a distance-based travel fee. Applicable sales tax will be added to all food, beverage, and administrative charges. Gratuity is discretionary and goes 100% to your event team.

Question 8

How is pricing determined?

Accepted Answer

Question 9

What's included in the base package price?

Accepted Answer

Every package includes the Luxe Lobster mobile cart, a dedicated team (Chefs & Servers), premium disposable serviceware, unlimited lobster rolls for the contracted duration, and our signature beverage program.

Question 10

Do you offer tastings?

Accepted Answer

Due to the mobile nature of our culinary operation, we do not offer standard tastings. However, for confirmed weddings or large-scale corporate activations (contracts over $20,000), a private tasting experience can be arranged upon request.

Question 11

What payment terms do you require?

Accepted Answer

To secure your date, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit and a signed contract. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the event date.

Question 12

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Accepted Answer

We understand plans change. To secure your date, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Rescheduling: If you need to move your event, we offer a one-time complimentary transfer of your deposit to a new date within 12 months of the original booking, provided the request is made at least 30 days prior to the event. (New dates are subject to availability and current market pricing). Cancellation: Events canceled outright within 30 days of the event date are responsible for the full contract value, as we have turned away other business and secured supply chains for your date.

Question 13

Where do you source your lobster?

Accepted Answer

We are committed to the gold standard of seafood. We source 100% Maine Lobster, working exclusively with sustainable fisheries in the cold, pristine waters of the Maine coast. This ensures every roll features wild-caught meat with signature sweetness and firm texture.

Question 14

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We take allergies seriously. Gluten-Free: We can provide lettuce wraps or source GF buns upon request with advance notice. Dairy-Free: Our "Warm Lemon-Butter" roll (Sans Mayo) is a crowd favorite, and we can prepare it with olive oil or dairy-free butter substitute if required. Shellfish Allergy: Please notify us in advance. While we are a lobster-focused concept, we can arrange a separate prep area for non-seafood items to minimize cross-contamination risk.

Question 15

Do you offer vegetarian or vegan options?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We ensure every guest enjoys the full Luxe experience. While our main focus is lobster, our Artisan Sides—including the Summer Corn Salad, Watermelon Cucumber Salad, Coastal Herb Slaw, and Truffle Chips—are all vegetarian-friendly. For Main Course alternatives, we can offer a Wild Mushroom & Truffle Roll or our signature Three-Cheese Mac & Cheese (prepared without lobster) upon specific request. (Please notify us of strictly vegan guests in advance so we can ensure appropriate preparation.)

Question 16

Are non-alcoholic options available?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We believe the zero-proof experience should be just as luxurious. We pour French Bloom, a premium organic alcohol-free sparkling wine (Blanc & Rosé), served in the same crystal glassware as our champagne.

Question 17

Do you serve other alcohol besides champagne?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In addition to our champagne portfolio, we offer a curated selection of Provençal Rosé and crisp white wines upon request. To maintain our elevated service aesthetic, we do not serve beer or hard liquor.

Question 18

Can we book Luxe Lobster without alcohol?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We offer our "Culinary Edition" for events where alcohol is not required or where an open bar is already provided by the venue. This option focuses exclusively on the food and service experience.

Question 19

Do you offer champagne cart rental or just equipment?

Accepted Answer

We are a premium full-service catering company, not an equipment rental service. When you book Luxe Lobster, you receive complete hospitality: our culinary team, white-glove service staff, premium ingredients, beverages, and the entire curated experience—not just equipment.

Question 20

How many guests can you serve?

Accepted Answer

Our carts are designed for high-volume efficiency. A single cart can seamlessly serve events ranging from 25 to 150 guests. For larger corporate activations (200+ guests), we can deploy multiple carts or support stations to ensure zero wait times.

Question 21

How long is the service window?

Accepted Answer

Our standard service window is 2 to 3 hours, depending on the package selected. Additional hours can be added for a reasonable fee if you want to keep the party going.

Question 22

Do you provide service staff?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You are not just hiring a food truck; you are hiring a hospitality team. Every event includes at least one Executive Chef (for assembly) and one Service Captain (for guest interaction and beverage service). Larger events will have a larger team included in your proposal.

Question 23

What happens if there's bad weather?

Accepted Answer

We operate rain or shine! However, for the safety of our staff and equipment, we cannot operate uncovered in direct rain. Outdoor Events: We require a "Plan B" location (tent, garage, or indoor space) in case of inclement weather. The cart can be moved indoors easily if the weather turns.

Question 24

What is your breakdown process?

Accepted Answer

We take great pride in leaving our station spotless. Our team manages the collection and removal of all Luxe Lobster service items (boats, napkins, glassware) within the immediate vicinity of the cart, ensuring the space is left exactly as we found it. (Note: General venue cleaning or circulating bussing for the wider event is the responsibility of the host or venue staff.)
